Kennedy’s Hugs Wins Fremont’s Chalk Art Festival

1st-Place-Audrie-Mecham-Ammalyn-H-and-BrianneFriday September 26th, Fremont held its 3rd Annual Chalk Art Festival in conjunction with its Homecoming game.

Jennette Brown and Tonya Yongberg, both professional chalk artists, shared chalk art tips with the students prior to the festivities. Almost 100 students participated in the chalk art, many students depicted art for school clubs or charity organizations.

The theme was “Honoring our Differences.” First place went to the charitable organization “Kennedy’s Hugs,” the organization’s picture included a depiction of Kennedy Hansen a former cheerleader who passed away last summer due to “Battens” disease.
